Faith in Action at Prospect

The Prospect Faith in Action Committee meets on a monthly basis to organize the outreach plan and activities for Prospect United Methodist Church.

The following are some of the ways Prospect reaches out beyond our church:

  • Church World Service
  • Covenant to Care
  • Adopt a social worker program with DCYS.
  • Bi-annual luncheon for the homebound.
  • Cheer Committee - Cards , etc... to the homebound.
  • Disaster Relief
  • Prospect's Food Pantry
  • Steward's Fund - Emergency needs for families with children
  • Meals for the needy - First Wednesday of the month and every other month on the second Wednesday evening.
  • Use of the Outreach Table in Session's Hall
  • Homebound Ministry
  • Distribution of flowers from worship services, Easter plants and Christmas poinsettias to the homebound members and friends.

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS

The Zion Lutheran food pantry needs help in stocking their shelves for those in need. Please help by donating any of the following items:

  • Cans of coffee
  • Boxed macaroni and cheese
  • Canned spaghettios and canned ravioli
  • Juice mixes like crystal light
  • Cans of tuna (6 or 7 oz size)
  • Dry cereal
  • Canned fruit
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, shaving cream, combs, deodorant)

All donations can be left in Sessions Hall.
